Setup Wizard

Connect your AI engine and your Shopify store through a quick, guided setup. Most people are done in about 3 minutes — and you can skip anything you're not ready for.

Setup overview

The setup wizard guides you through connecting the pieces that power your AI Commerce Suite workspace. You'll see it the first time you log in — it matches the look and feel of the app, and short walkthrough videos are embedded right where you need them.

Steps overview:

  • Step 1: AI Configuration — Paste your AI key and your AI team goes live
  • Step 2: Connect Store — Link your Shopify store
  • Step 3: Telegram Bot — Chat with your AI from your phone (optional)
Tip
Every step can be skipped and finished later from Settings. If you only want to explore, you can complete setup with just Step 1.

Step 1: AI Configuration

This is where your AI team comes to life. Paste your Gemini API key on one screen, click connect, and your AI engine is live — no other configuration needed.

New here without a key?

A built-in guide right on the screen ("Where do I find my Gemini API key?") walks you through it:

  1. Go to aistudio.google.com and sign in with your Google account
  2. Click Get API keyCreate API key
  3. Copy the key and paste it into the setup screen

What you'll see:

  • Provider choice — Google Gemini (recommended), Amazon Bedrock, or OpenRouter
  • One key field — paste your key and you're done
  • Setup walkthrough video — expandable right on the screen
Note
Your key is stored encrypted and used only for your workspace.

Step 2: Connect Store

Connect your Shopify store to enable store building, product management, and analytics.

What you'll enter:

  • Shopify Store URL — your myshopify.com address
  • Admin API Token — a built-in guide (the ⓘ next to the field) shows you exactly where to find it
  • Theme ID (optional) — if left blank, your store's main published theme is used

Where to find your token:

  1. Go to your Shopify Admin → SettingsApps and sales channelsDevelop apps
  2. Create a new app and configure Admin API permissions:
    • Products: Read and write
    • Themes: Read and write
    • Content/Files: Read and write
    • Orders: Read (for analytics)
  3. Install the app and copy the Admin API access token
Credential format
Store URL: yourstore.myshopify.com (without https://)
Access Token: shpat_abc123def456...

Step 3: Telegram Bot (optional)

Connect a Telegram bot to chat with your AI assistant from your phone — same capabilities as the web interface.

Setup process:

  1. Open Telegram and message @BotFather
  2. Send /newbot and follow the prompts (the username must end in "bot")
  3. Copy the bot token and paste it into the wizard — a walkthrough video on the screen shows the whole process
  4. Choose which store your bot should build and manage by default
Bot token format
123456789:ABCDEF1234ghiklmnop-zyx57W2v1u123ew11

Using your bot:

  • Find your bot in Telegram by its username
  • Send /start to initialize
  • Chat normally — just like the web dashboard

Troubleshooting

AI key won't connect

  • Double-check the key copied from aistudio.google.com (no extra spaces)
  • Create a fresh key if the old one may have been revoked
  • Make sure you selected the matching provider (Google Gemini by default)

Shopify connection fails

  • Verify store URL format: yourstore.myshopify.com (no https://)
  • Check that all required permissions are enabled
  • Ensure you're using the Admin API token, not the Storefront API token

Telegram bot not responding

  • Verify the bot token format (should contain a colon)
  • Send /start to initialize the conversation
  • Check that the token is from @BotFather, not a third party
Success
Once you're done, you land on your dashboard ready to build. You can revisit or change any of these settings anytime from Settings in the sidebar.
