Setup Wizard
Connect your Shopify store and optional integrations through a guided setup process.
Setup overview
The setup wizard guides you through connecting your external accounts to enable AI Commerce Suite's features. You'll see it the first time you log in.
Steps overview:
- Step 1: AI Configuration — Already configured for you (confirm or update)
- Step 2: Connect Store — Link your Shopify store (required)
- Step 3: Meta Ads — Connect ad accounts for analytics (optional)
- Step 4: Social Accounts — Connect Instagram and TikTok (optional)
- Step 5: Telegram Bot — Chat with AI from your phone (optional)
Tip
Only Step 2 (Connect Store) is required to start building. You can skip all other steps and come back later from Settings.
Step 1: AI Configuration
Your AI engine is typically pre-configured by your account manager. This step shows your current AI provider and lets you verify the connection is working.
What you'll see:
- Current AI provider (Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, or Anthropic)
- Connection status indicator
- Option to test the connection
Note
In most cases, the AI is already set up and working. You can simply click "Next" to proceed. Only change this if your account manager has provided you with a specific API key.
Step 2: Connect Store
Connect your Shopify store to enable store building and product management.
Two connection methods:
- Shopify App (recommended) — One-click install from your Shopify admin. The app handles permissions automatically.
- Manual Token — Enter store URL and access token directly (for custom setups).
For manual token setup:
- Go to your Shopify Admin → Settings → Apps → Develop apps
- Create a new app and configure Admin API permissions:
- Products: Read and write
- Themes: Read and write
- Content/Files: Read and write
- Orders: Read (for analytics)
- Install the app and copy the Admin API access token
- Enter your store URL (yourstore.myshopify.com) and token in the wizard
Credential format
Store URL: yourstore.myshopify.com (without https://)
Access Token: shpat_abc123def456...Step 3: Meta Ads (optional)
Connect your Meta (Facebook/Instagram) ad account to see advertising performance in the Analytics dashboard.
What this enables:
- Ad spend tracking in the Analytics dashboard
- ROAS (Return on Ad Spend) calculations
- Campaign performance breakdowns
- CPC, CTR, and conversion metrics
What you need:
- App ID — From Meta Developers
- App Secret — From Meta Developers
- Access Token — Long-lived token with ads_read permissions
- Ad Account ID — Format: act_1234567890
Tip
Most clients have their account manager set this up. You can skip this step and still create ad creatives — you just won't see performance metrics in the dashboard.
Step 4: Social Accounts (optional)
Connect your TikTok and Instagram accounts for future content publishing features.
Available connections:
- TikTok — One-click OAuth authorization
- Instagram — One-click OAuth authorization (business account required)
Note
Social account connections are used for future automated publishing features. Currently, you can generate content and download it to post manually to any platform.
Step 5: Telegram Bot (optional)
Create a Telegram bot to chat with the AI assistant from your mobile device.
Setup process:
- Open Telegram and message @BotFather
- Send /newbot
- Choose a name for your bot
- Choose a username (must end in "bot")
- Copy the bot token and paste it in the wizard
Bot token format
123456789:ABCDEF1234ghiklmnop-zyx57W2v1u123ew11Using your bot:
- Find your bot in Telegram by its username
- Send /start to initialize
- Chat normally — same capabilities as the web interface
Troubleshooting
Shopify connection fails
- Verify store URL format: yourstore.myshopify.com (no https://)
- Check that all required permissions are enabled
- Ensure you're using the Admin API token, not the Storefront API token
Meta Ads not connecting
- Confirm you have admin access to the Business Manager account
- Check that your access token has ads_read permissions
- Verify the Ad Account ID includes the "act_" prefix
Telegram bot not responding
- Verify the bot token format (should contain a colon)
- Send /start to initialize the conversation
- Check that the token is from @BotFather, not a third party
Success
You can modify all these settings anytime from the Settings page (sidebar → Settings). Changes apply immediately.
